Molesworth Primary School was first established in 1881 to serve a small rural population living in the valley. The major farming activity was hop growing. Nowadays there is a diverse mix of families living in Molesworth and the surrounding area, which brings a rich array of talents interests and skills to the community. A common factor is the enjoyment of the natural environment and the peace and tranquillity of this rural setting. A significant feature of the school is the Molesworth Environment Centre. Strong and ongoing community support has seen the Centre grow to the point where over 5000 students visit the Centre each year. The Centre has a unique relationship with the community, who allow access onto private land for our environmental programs. The school currently has a population of 150 students from the surrounding area, including parts of New Norfolk and offers a variety of additional learning opportunities including Music, Dance, Drama, P.E. and Technology.
