Thank you to all families and students for another wonderful term of learning. Friday is the last day of term 4 and staff wish everyone a wonderful safe holiday break and we look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday the 14th of October, bringing the sunshine and warm weather with us.
MOLESWORTH PRIMARY’S MINI OLYMPICS #2
To celebrate the conclusion of the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics Games, on Friday September 27th at 11:00 am – 12:30 pm we will be hosting our second ever Molesworth Primary School Mini Olympics!
The event will start with a parade of 3 teams; Greece, Australia and France. Each team has been decided based on our house colours. Students in Blue Gum will represent Team Greece, students in River Mint will represent Team Australia and students in Waratah will represent Team France. Students are encouraged to wear a piece of appropriate clothing in their house colour!
Following the parade we will hear from our Sport Leaders and a very special guest (a 5 time Olympian). We will then compete in 3 different activities/games and finish with a closing ceremony speech from Mrs Smith and our Sport Leaders We will also have a special performance by our Grade 3-4 class and each student will receive a special participation ribbon.
Miss Gourlay will pass onto students additional details and reminders in PE lessons in the lead up to the games.
If you would like to come along to support our second Mini Olympics you are more than welcome to!
We cannot wait for the games to begin!
Have your say on the future of Tasmania’s education system
The Tasmanian Government has established an Independent Review of Tasmania’s education system to improve the education system over the next 10 years. And they want to hear from families, children and young people of all ages, and members of the community.
There are multiple ways you can get involved:
- Respond to the public Consultation Paper
- Complete the survey for educators, families and the community
- Complete the short survey for students
- Submit a creative response to the question (for children and young people only): Imagine yourself at the end of school, what have you learned, what have you achieved and who do you want to be?
Submissions responding to the Consultation Paper must be submitted by Sunday 13 October 2024, and all other consultation opportunities will close on Sunday 27 October 2024.
Visit the Independent Education Review website to learn more or email contact@ier.tas.gov.au.
