SPSSA ATHLETICS CARNIVAL & SPSSA ATHLETICS CHAMPIONS CARNIVAL
On Friday 28th March our Molesworth Athletics Team competed at the Division D Athletics Carnival! It was the first time for our Molesworth Athletes to wear our new Sports Representative tops at an SPSSA athletics carnival. Not only did we look amazing competing in our tops but every single student on the day represented Molesworth amazingly!
Thank you to Mrs Bush, Mrs Watson and Ms Watt for accompanying and supporting our team in the stands. Thank you to Mr Jelkic for volunteering as our school official. Mr Jelkic was one of the judges at the end of the track so it was lovely for our students to see a familiar face as they crossed the finish line.
Thank you to our school community for coming and cheering on our students! We really appreciate your encouragement, support and presence at the Athletics Centre and know our students do to.

From all of the Divisional Carnivals, only a select number of students were invited to participate in the SPSSA Champions Carnival being held today at the Domain Athletics Centre. This year Molesworth we have 7 representatives, Violet, Darcy, Lacie, Chelsea, Angel Grade and Bonnee. We hope they all had an amazing day.
Another fantastic day with families sharing wonderful outdoor activities with their children. Thanks to all the families who were able to drop in during the morning.

Voting Day Cake Stall:

CLASS NOTICE BOARDS:
Using money raised last year, the School Association has funded the instillation of the new notice boards outside each classroom. They look fantastic with student work displayed and are a great way for teachers to communicate with the school community about learning that is happening in their space.
Inter-School Sports Tops:
Another big purchase made by the School Association was the sun-smart inter-school sports tops.
Molesworth Primary students recently represented our school at an interschool carnival and looked the perfect team in their bright and distinctive new uniforms.
PREP/1 AND 1/2 GYMNASTICS EXCURSIONS
Over the last two weeks the Grade 1/2 and Prep/1 classes visited the Hobart Gymnastics Academy located in Bridgewater. It is always such an enjoyable experience for our students to engage in all of the fun activities the gymnastics coaches plan for us!
We practised many fundamental movement skills and sequences, our safe landing positions and shapes on the big blue floor. We climbed up and down walls, over ramps, under beams, over beams and through tunnels. We jumped and hopped along beams, trampolines, and mats. By far the most favourite activities of the sessions were the trampolines and foam pit. It was interesting to learn that the trampolines we were using were of Olympic standard. They were very bouncy!
There was a lot of fun to be had at the Hobart Gymnastics Academy!
Thank you to the Hobart Gymnastics Academy coaches, for ensuring our students were safe and knew the correct technique of moving through each activity.
Thank you to Mrs Browning, Mrs Barber, Ms Johns, Mrs Stock, Mrs Hensby who volunteered to assist on our excursions, your extra support for our students gave them the confidence they needed to take safe risks!
The Hobart Gymnastics Academy offers a range of recreational and competitive gymnastics programs for kids and adults, as well as facilitating various group bookings. UPPER PRIMARY TENNIS EXCURSIONS
Tennis has been quite popular at Molesworth this term, both in HPE and at recess and lunchtime. As we continued to develop our skills, many tennis balls went over the fence, and I would like to thank the whole school community who would stop and throw the tennis balls back over for our students. It is really appreciated, thank you!
Over the last two weeks of term, our Year 3/4, 4/5 and 5/6 classes visited the Glenorchy Tennis Centre to put our tennis skills to the test! We practised and developed so many of our tennis skills, including being familiar with the correct technique of holding the racquet, aiming, hitting, scoring and many fun activities and modified mini games.
Please see the flyer attached with information about local coaching sessions available right in New Norfolk!

We would like to say a big thank you to Coach Sahil for setting up courts, organising our bookings and coaching us! Thank you to Mrs Watson and Mrs Barber, Ms Johns, Mrs Stock and Mr Jelkic for assisting us on our excursions and supporting our students.
