Pond Studies
We start with a short discussion about pond life and freshwater invertebrates at the Environment Centre.
At the pond children collect freshwater macroinvertebrates to identify and describe.
Topics for discussion can include:
- life cycles
- features and adaptations
- living and non living
- basic needs
- interdependence
It is also possible to undertake waterwatch activities at Sorell Creek.
Programs can be tailored to suit individual needs.
